Working @ the car wash

I was giving Zoey a quick bath in the sink and it seemed to catch Isaac's eye. He asked me if he could have a car wash with all his cars. I thought that would be a wonderful idea, since I had to go and feed Zoey anyways.About 20 minutes in, I heard him say from the kitchen, "I have to go potty." I told him to wipe his hands and climb down, to which he replied, "never mind." I knew that couldn't be good. When I ran into the kitchen, this is what I found.
(In his defense, he did run to the bathroom to go right after I took him out, so he might have been holding it... we'll just hope)

I did it again!!!!

Remember THIS POST? Well, last night I got myself a cup of water and was walking past the computer to the couch and I tripped. Yes... I dumped the whole cup of water on the laptop! Chris didn't say a word last night as he worked on it to dry it out, but I can pretty much bet I know what he was thinking. I am posting on it this morning, so no damage was done, but I am reflecting on the fact that my husband puts up with me no matter how crazy I make him! I am going to go ahead and put last night on my "not so bright" list. Please comment to me something you did this week that was "not so bright" so that I can show my husband I am not the only crazy one!

Giraffes!!!

Today we spent Isaac's birthday in 55 degree weather at the Detroit Zoo. Isaac was only concerned with finding the giraffes and holding the map. We had a wonderful time and are going to enjoy spending a lot of time there this summer thanks to an amazing birthday gift!

The Monster Truck Show

Isaac was so excited about his 3rd birthday theme: MONSTER TRUCKS! Uncle Matt and Aunt Nina even surprised him with a special Monster Truck cake with real trucks to keep! Thank you to everyone who blessed Isaac tonight. I can't believe my baby is 3!

Isaac wanted all the candles on his cake.
He didn't know that I had purchased candles that re-lite every time he blew them out. I learned my lesson from last year when I had to keep lighting the candles over and over for him to blow out.
Thank you to Poppy and Grandy on their trampoline present. (yes, it is still in my living room... perfect for wiping him out for his nap time on monday!)
Isaac loved jumping on his new trampoline!
Zoey did not!Baby Christopher even came to join the party.
(oh, and nina and jeni were there too)
Uncle Tommy took the kids outside to play some "futbol"Chris teaching Tommy Piano 101 on Isaac's keyboard. Those piano lessons all those years finally paid off!

And that's a wrap!

Today was the final day of my birthday bash... and it has been amazing! Isaac asked me what I was doing today and when I told him Mary Ann was taking me out for my birthday, he put his hands in the air and said "mama's birthday, again?" I think he is ready for his own 3rd birthday celebration! M.A. and I started off at Douglas J Aveda Salon for amazing pedicures! I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. Then we headed over to Inn Season Cafe for lunch. It's a vegetarian, all organic restaurant that is to die for! Please go and have the Moroccan stew!
Lastly, Mary Ann introduced me to my new favorite store... Leon and Lulu. I could spend all day in there. It's an old rollerskating rink that was converted into the most amazing home furnishing and accessory store I have ever been to. Any store that offers you a cup of coffee when you enter tops my list automatically!Mary Ann, thank you so much for a wonderful day of friendship.
I love and appreciate you so much!

Hanging with my girls!

I was thinking this week how blessed I am to be surrounded by amazing women! I had an opportunity tonight to be around some of them, and it was so wonderful. I did come to the realization, though, that painting pottery is not a stress-free activity... but when you pair it with chicken salad, coke-zero and lots of laughs, everything turns out alright. I decided to make "birthday plates" for my kids. I am going to force them to use them for every birthday until the day I die!

Thank you to all my wonderful friends for making my 30th birthday so special! I am totally overwhelmed!
My mom and Mary Ann chatting awayJenny and Jaimie taking their time...
crunch time was soon to follow!I was sitting between the 2 pros. It made me very nervous!I know I look like I am in pain, but I took my project very seriously. I mean, I don't want my kids to resent me
the rest of my life!
Jill and Meghan making their Easter eggs.
(Actually, Jill is trying to cover up her name on the inside)My Plates! I am hoping they turn out a lot
better once they are fired.Nina's piggy bank.. which puts my plates to shame.
Yes people, she is good at EVERYTHING!!!

Superman has to go potty!

Nina has some cute pictures of the crazy superheroes too, but I had to share my favorite quote of the night. After running back and forth saving the world, Isaac ran out of the room, yelling, "Superman has to go potty!"

spoiled rotten!!

I am surrounded by the most incredible people! I was going to wait till the end to post a picture, but I couldn't help myself. My sister, Nina, is giving me 11 days of celebration, one for every day of March till my 30th birthday. I am so overwhelmed! She thought everything thru (even after just having a baby 2 weeks ago!!!) and picked out things that I would go crazy for. Here is what my last week has looked like:

Day 1- Glass full of hearts with letters from people I love
Day 2- Scrabble calendar (I am obsessed with that game!)
Day 3- Starbucks gift card
Day 4- Pedicure gift card
Day 5- Barnes and Noble giftcard
Day 6- Bag of Gloria Jeans "Cinnamon Nut Strudel" coffee
Day 7- The Viviano man just knocked on my door
with a coffee cup full of flowers!

Then, yesterday, I was able to spend the WHOLE DAY with my mom, kid free (thanks to my amazing in-laws!!!). We ate, shopped, drank good coffee, and talked each others heads off. Thank you so much mom, it was a day I needed so badly!! I am so blessed to have you in my life!

I See God!

Isaac: Mama, look!
Me: What do you see, buddy?
Isaac: I see God! I see God!
Me: Where do you see Him?
Isaac: In the sky!
Me: What's He doing?
Isaac: He's talking to me.
Me: What's He saying?
Isaac: He said He loves me.

Question of the day...

Who is mighty like You, O Lord?
I wrote out these scripture cards to give to a friend this morning and this particular one stood out above the rest. So if you are wondering what you are going to do in a particular situation, or feel troubled by the circumstances you find yourself in, remember: His faithfulness is round about Him!
