love letters

While packing, I came across 3 large boxes in the basement, each with 4 or 5 smaller boxes inside. As soon as I opened them I started to roll my eyes and thought, "oh no, more of Chris' magazines." As soon as I opened the first box inside, I couldn't believe my eyes. In those boxes is every single letter I sent to Chris during the 4 years I was away at college... each filed in order of date. It chronicles my entire college experience, and our relationship through it all. I yelled for Chris to come downstairs and when he saw what I was looking at he immediately said, "don't even think of getting rid of those." I love my sentimental man!

my baby girl.... my pride and joy.

Zoey: "The baby in your belly is a boy!"
Me: "We don't know that"
Zoey: "It's a girl?"
Me: "We don't know that either"
Zoey: "It's baby Jesus!!!!"

Field Trip: Morley Candy and Cheeseburger In Paradise

Today was another fun field trip with the Isaac's Pre-School class and we had a blast! We started off by getting a tour of the Morley Chocolate Factory. Isaac didn't care how they made the chocolate, he just wanted to know how they hooked up the fans (like father like son). Then we headed over to Cheeseburger in Paradise to eat. They gave us a tour of the kitchen, showed us how they make everything, and then even let the kids make their own dessert. So much fun!
(Disclaimer: our camera broke last night so all these pictures are from my phone)

Here we go again!!!

So in March of 2006 we had our very first boy, Isaac Christopher.
I remember the moment in this picture because I felt like I was living someone elses life. This was actually my baby and I was overwhelmed with unconditional love.
Then in August of 2008 we had our very first girl, Zoey Loren.
Isaac couldn't contain himself and was overjoyed with our newest addition. (Little did he know at the time that Zoey would give him a run for his money... every single day)
Last September we had our 3rd child, Elijah Christopher.
Both of the kids were excited the entire pregnancy, and didn't stop giving him kisses for the 1st 2 weeks.
And now we are at it again..... another baby!!!
This one will be due this November, and although it's slightly sooner than expected, we have always wanted at least 4 kids and are so blessed with God's timing. Isaac and Zoey are already convinced it's another girl ("We have too many boys, mom!" -Isaac-) and I am still in the process of wrapping my head around the fact that Elijah will be 14 months when this one is born. (Another summer of pregnancy! Not my favorite...) The morning after I found out I was pregnant, I posted this on my blog... and that continues to be my anthem for the year 2011!
Now to go fish out my maternity clothes that I just put down stairs last month.... (I love that my sister Jeni brought it to my attention that I was pregnant TWICE while she was pregnant with her little boy who is due the end of May... that's cRaZy!)

packing day

We are moving at the end of this month!!!
It's bitter-sweet. We LOVE this house and have so many memories in it, but we are seriously growing out of it and are excited to start our new adventures in a more spacious home. My sister Jeni and her husband Lance are buying our house, so we know it is going to be in good hands.

i'm so messed up.

I have been so messed up lately.
It's like God is desperately trying to get my attention.
It's in the books I read. The videos I watch. The things my kids say.
The bottom line: I am here on earth to bring God fame.
Furthermore, the greatest way I can do that is to spread His love to others.
Feeding the hungry.
Housing the homeless.
Hugging the forgotten.
Speaking life to those that are cast away.

Tonight we watched the 3rd part of a video series by Max Lucado called "Made To Make A Difference" with our student leadership team. I am at home still thinking about it.... still contemplating the changes that need to be made... still knowing that it's about the application, not the emotion.
What have you been challenged with lately?

1 John 3:17
But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and closes his heart of compassion against him, how does the love of God remain in him?

over 6 months

My sweet baby Elijah...
6 months have come and gone.
You love your toes and grab them whenever possible.
Your morning cereal is your favorite time of the day.
You always have a huge smile on your face when I come to get you from bed.
You know your daddy's voice.
You think Isaac is hilarious.
You aren't too sure about Zoey... is she your mom? is she your sister?
You think your hands are the coolest invention ever.
You act like your teething, but we can never find any teeth!
Your favorite song is "Rooftops" by JesusCulture.

The Tumble Bus

Today Isaac experienced the "Tumble Bus" with his friends from school for a friend's birthday party. I wasn't able to be there, but Isaac said it was "super fun!" Thanks to the other moms for taking pictures!

The Circus

Today Isaac's class went to the circus and Zoey and I tagged along... and I'm so glad we did. We had a blast!
Isaac and his friends with a clown.
Zoey was so scared, she wouldn't even let me put her on the ground.
The horns on that car were so obnoxious, but the kids loved them.
They love it when I want to take a million pictures.
Me and my girl
These horses were so beautiful... and so talented!
Yes, that is a bear driving a motorcycle.
Inseparable
This guys was INCREDIBLE. I was screaming the entire time.
He did tricks I've never seen before!
The boys couldn't believe what he was doing either.
They were like this through the entire act because they were so afraid he was going to fall.
The popcorn girls
Super cool elephants!

And now for the "BREAKDANCING" photo shoot.
These guys were cracking me up!
