packing day

We are moving at the end of this month!!!
It's bitter-sweet. We LOVE this house and have so many memories in it, but we are seriously growing out of it and are excited to start our new adventures in a more spacious home. My sister Jeni and her husband Lance are buying our house, so we know it is going to be in good hands.

WHAT?!?! Awe, your house is adorable! How exciting, though! Where is your new house??? How big is it?? I bet you are excited and overwhelmed.

It's hard when going through stuff to decide to take the time now or after you move to go through it. Believe me, we've moved enough in the last 5 years to last me a lifetime.

Here is a word of advise... if you don't have time to go through it now (attic stuff, basement stuff) keep it in a section in your garage after you move. That is what we have done. It's not allowed in the house until I check it out. So now before I bring in a box to go to the attic, I make SURE and go through it and either add it to the garage sale pile, garbage, or we really do want to hold onto it. That way you don't feel like you are just moving stuff around and holding onto stuff you don't need.

Can't wait to see pics of the new place! Hey, at least Jeni has a boy room AND a girl room all ready and painted!!! :) Hopefully she has the same style and color taste :)

we actually don't have a house yet.. we are still looking. chris' parents are generous enough to let us stay at their house temporarily until we find one. please pray that we do soon!

I'm praying!!! If you guys don't mind a fixer-upper I bet there are quite a few in SCS. Also, I think a neighbor of my parents just passed away so the wife decided to move out. I can ask them if they know any details on the size/price. Not sure if you were wanting to stay in SCS or not.

Good thing you remembered to pack Elijah! ;) The fun thing about moving and packing stuff up is you actually see EVERYTHING you have. Gives you a good chance to toss stuff not needed or use something you forgot you had! :) I like Denise's advice about going thru stuff and if you don't have time not letting it come in the house until it's gone thru. I did that a few times. I'll pray you find a new house soon. :) Love you!
