Today was pretty rough.
In the 16 hours I've been awake (well, 22 if you count my almost-sleepless night comforting a 2-yr-old) I have felt betrayed, manipulated, abandoned, left-out, misunderstood, overwhelmed, disappointed, cheated, copied, confused, rushed and hopeless.... or as I like to call it...
MONDAY.
It's not that anything that significant happened, I just had a bad day.
Then I read this....
So.... I would like to change that feeling to one of truth: Today I have been blessed, loved, cherished, praised, uplifted, protected, guided, befriended, encouraged, supported, served, defended and sustained
Then I read this....
In fact, it hit me so hard where it hurt, that I immediately opened my Bible and read the entire chapter. Here is a portion....
Psalm 46:1-5
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
... and it's only Monday!

I really needed this today. :) Its crazy how I always seem to find something encouraging on your blog. whether its insight on a portion of scripture, or simply a picture of one of your kids that makes me smile, there is always something to give me a little pick me up. Thanks for always sharing! I don't always get to read your blogs, but when I do, they always help. LOVE YOU!!
