Cup O' Joe

So AOL had an article today called "The 21 Best Cups of Coffee in America." They label 7-11 as #7... are they kidding? I just happen to get a cup of coffee from there on Tuesday b/c I was cheap and desperate, and I kept thinking how my coffee at home was much better. Here is my top 5 list of my favorite cups of coffee in America... what about you? Where do you get your best cup of coffee and what do you order?
  1. The Mudhouse, Springfield, MO
  2. Deebes Coffee House, RIP
  3. Gloria Jeans, National
  4. Boca Java, Delivered
  5. Nordaggios, Tulsa, OK

I am not qualified to rate coffee, but I would agree with number 1 and 2. Maybe throw in Churchill or Caribou and definitely Shell Gas Station. They are way better than 7-11.

I love this blog Lori! Well, I have to say that I do enjoy Starbucks, and my favorite thing to get is a Caramel Machiatto. Whenever I'm anywhere else, I usually stick to that version or try one of their seasonal brews...like a minty or pumpkin spice one :-)

My favorite coffee shop in college was Kaya, and the U Cup, both in Mt. Pleasant MI

Listen, when I want coffee and I have to be cheap, I go to Speadway and get a 24 oz English Toffe or Pumpkin Spice coffee for only $1.37! If you have a card, after buying 6 coffees, the next one is free. Just thought you'd like to know.

Medium Mocha from Tim Horton's - $1.80 ... when I feel like splurging it's a Grande Mocha from Starbucks - $3.40 or maybe it's $3.60??? (ouch)...otherwise it's special dark Hershey's syrup and Folgers from my home sweet home :)

BTW...7-eleven can be decent when you mix half pumpkin spice latte with half regular coffee...MMMmmmm...

The best...no clue. But i can tell you without hesitation that the WORST coffee in the universe...came out of a machine, in the basement of the Pontiac AAA.
UGH...and still I drank it daily.

When I was in college there was a coffee shop down town called The Hearth Room and they had the best coffee and chai tea ever made! Here in Michigan I am a fan of Peter's morning brew of Tim Horton's coffee in my travel mug while I drive to work, or a gingerbread latte at Starbucks.

P.S. How many pictures do you have like this Lori? A coffee cup in your hand with a smile on your face. I think it is a pattern now :)

Right now I'm in no condition to rate coffee..when I'm prego...coffee just does not sound good..it's so weird & I love it any other time..but goodness..why don't I remember the taste of the mudhouse coffee? was it that good? wish I remembered...but I would have to say Gloria Jeans or really even starbucks..but I never just order "coffee" at those places..usually a white choc. mocha either iced or hot depending on the weather. Oh and i remember deebes..we had SO much fun there! :) okay, gotta go. kids not getting along (mya and mason! UGH)

you know, there is the Mudhouse lounge now too! Good food, fun atmosphere. we should all go and meet there! It's a little closer for me, you'd have a LITTLE bit of a drive :)
