Why does it take so long to get out of the foam?
We had such a FUN time tonight taking the youth group to All World Gym. We got to hear the band play, meet students from other youth groups and watch everyone get stuck in the foam pit. Can't wait for the next one!
Yes... this is me doing a flip into the foam.
See, I'm still a youngin'

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
back in the day.
During our big snow fall, Chris piled up the snow in our back yard in a mound for Isaac to play on. All I could think about was when I was younger, my sisters and I would go to the elementary school across the street to play on the snow that was plowed from the parking lot into really high hills. Then I came across this picture tonight randomly and had to post it! Such great memories!

Happy Birthday Jesus!
I've been trying to find a way to teach Isaac how to give back to Jesus, so I was thrilled when I found a Paint-A-Bank at the dollar store. He LOVES putting spare change in the bank his Uncle Matt and Aunt Nina got him, so I thought we would put our "Jesus" bank next to it and he would have to decide how much money he puts in his and how much he gives to Jesus. We then went to his room and he got to pick out a present to put under the tree for Jesus. He spent a good 10 minutes looking thru all of his cars and then settled on this red race car. He couldn't stop giggling as we wrapped it up and put it under the tree and he has been saying "Happy Birthday Jesus" all morning. Oh, by the way, the bank is a plane if you were wondering.

A Sharing Success!
So here's the story:
Isaac and I had a day to ourselves and he wanted to get "nuggets and fries." We stopped at Burger King and he was so excited because they had the Mario Bros. toys. When he realized he had gotten the princess, the ONLY one he didn't want, he looked at me with sad eyes. I told him if he didn't open it, I would ask them for a different one after he ate. He sat and thought for a second and then asked me to open it because he wanted to give it to Zoey. I told him that was very nice, but that if he did that we wouldn't be able to get him another one. He thought one more second and said "that's ok, mama, give to Zoey." My heart was about to burst open. We have really been focusing on sharing, so I felt like we had a major victory! Since then, he has had 2 more kid's meals from BK and has gotten the princess every time. Let's just say that Zoey has a lot of new toys, and Isaac gets just as excited to give her each one.
