1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
I talk all the time about how much I love my job.
How fun and exciting it is to minister to teenagers.
It's so true..
...but there's another side.
It's hard.
Most of the time there are more questions than answers.
There is heartbreak, confusion and despair.
Today I can't control my emotions.
I think about all of the teenagers throughout the years that God has given me the opportunity to engage and connect with.
Some have experienced victory, some have succumb to defeat.
Some have overcome, some have surrendered.
Some have experience healing, some have adapted to destruction.
For some reason God has given me a voice, and until I can no longer speak, I will scream truth, life and restoration. God, give me strength.

I can bare witness to your resolution. The truth in love, faith expressed in love, for the glory of God. You may want to pick up the self-forgetfulness booklet by Tim Keller that I read last night! Detaching yourself from what you do, how you look, etc in the effort to gain such boldness & humility as demonstrated by Paul. Gosh, I wish we could have coffee!!
oh tina... you can so relate. chris and i had the "detachment" discussion last night... no great conclusion. just want to be used of God to touch the hurting, even thru my exhaustion! thanks for the book suggestion!
