Our Indoor Adventure @ Home...

The kids had been gone for the beginning of the week, so today we decided to have our adventure at home today. We did something different in every room of the house. We started off with making a MEGA-fort in our living room...

Then it was off to Zoey's room for an indoor picnic lunch...

Then off to Isaac's room for some reading time...

Then off to the kitchen to bake daddy some brownies...

Then it was off to Mama's room for naptime... sort-of. We also had crawling races in the hallway, played with water in the bathroom and made a craft in the basement. It was a very fun day!

Tonight we had quite a traumatic moment. I told Isaac to keep Zoey out of the bathroom- she tends to enjoy messing around in the toilet. I heard him telling her she wasn't allowed to go in there and then I heard a loud slam... followed by a ear piercing scream. I knew what I was going to find as I ran down the hall. Zoey was holding her limp hand screaming at the top of their lungs and Isaac was freaking out. It was pretty bad. Chris and I debated on whether or not to take her to urgent care... and although her all 4 fingers swelled up and bruised, she started using her hand like normal so we stayed home. We explained to Isaac what had happened and how to keep it from happening again and then we all prayed for Zoey. Although it was an awful experience, it was neat to see how much Isaac was concerned for his baby sister. He continually wanted to make sure she was alright and wouldn't stop hugging and kissing her to show her he loved her. This parent thing can definitely kick adrenaline in gear, that's for sure!

Favorite conversations of our impromptu hair cutting night...

Me: I think I am going to take Isaac to get a haircut tomorrow.
Chris: Why? I can do it!
Me: Chris, are you sure you know how? Do you want me to try?
Chris: I know how to cut hair! I had mine cut all the time!

Isaac: Dad, this doesn't look right.
Chris: Don't judge a book until you read the ending.
Isaac: Just don't make me pretty like a girl!

Our Wednesday Adventure...

For our adventure today, we met Mary Ann for lunch at a pretty crazy park. It was probably more like a "high ropes course" for kids then anything else and Isaac LOVED it.

After lunch, we headed to the MOST AMAZING library I have ever seen. We could have stayed there all day! The kid section is incredible.... you could read books by the fire, in the tree house, in a dragon's den with a real dragon...well, sort-of... it took every bribe in the book to get Isaac to leave.

To end the afternoon, we headed to see Aunt Keri at work. Isaac was being very shy, but he did want to help Aunt Keri do her rounds.

We spent the day at the zoo with some friends and it was HOT! Isaac and Cameron get along so well (maybe a little too well because they seem to get into mischief together) and Isaac was so sad when we had to leave. He asked me if he could stay with Cameron forever.

Jesus loves the little children...

We got to celebrate the dedication of cousin Kaeden Anthony today!
This cute little boy stole the show this morning... so adorable!

We then headed to the celebration where the cousins got to enjoy one another. A BIG thank you to Uncle Joel for keeping the kids not only entertained, but teaching them Godly character traits, such as patience, sharing and water baptism.
