Why doesn't that bull have a head?

Today we celebrated our cousin Erika's graduation from high school. The kids ALWAYS love going to Uncle Jimmy's to see the animals and pond.... and today was especially fun because there was a mechanical bull. Isaac must have ridden it over 15 times!

Detroit Tigers

One of the best nights of his life.

Even stayed thru the 2 hour rain delay and got home at 2am.

He had ice cream.

He had nachos.

He had his daddy's complete attention.

The only downside in his eyes: His Tigers lost.

 Every so often we get to hook up with our Tennessee friends for a day of fun. Isaac couldn't control his excitement when I told him we were going to see the triplets this week. "Those are my friends, mom!" I tried to keep cool, but I was just as excited to see my long-lost TN friend, Denise, as well. I definitely took that relationship for granted in college when I could see her everyday in the room attached to my dorm room... now I wish we just lived in the same state!

We love and miss you guys so much. Thank you for taking time out of your very hectic vacation to spend time with us!!!! Maybe next time we see each other it will be in TN!

i heart breakfast

 Breakfast is one of my favorite times of the day, but most of the time we are rushing thru it to get somewhere. My kids are used to the weekday "banana/granola bar in the car" routine and don't even ask for anything warm in the morning. (They don't even know that pop-tarts can go in a toaster). This morning we had a little time, so we stopped at Big Apple to get some bagels. It was such a wonderful time. We talked, we laughed, we even took turns feeding Elijah bites of muffin. I love off-the-cuff days where I can truly enjoy being with my kids... and the freshly-brewed coconut coffee didn't hurt either!

 

 

preggo report {17 weeks}

Confident I felt the baby yesterday.

Going to our ultrasound next Thursday.

Pretty much half way there.

Baby is the size of a turnip & is developing sweat glands right this moment.

I am quickly approaching maternity wear time.

I am craving orange juice and salt bagels.

My wedding ring still fits (even after the salt bagels).

Phrase I hear most frequently: "I keep forgetting you're pregnant."

our 2011 Graduate...

We are now the parents of a Pre-School Graduate!!!!

Isaac was so much fun to watch at his graduation and we couldn't be prouder of our little man. The next step: KINDERGARTEN! Yikes!

last pre-school field trip :(

Yesterday I was able to go with Isaac on his last field trip as a Pre-Schooler. It was to a beautiful Nature Center, a nature walk to a Tree House and then to the Splash Zone. It was hot, hot, hot out, but we still had a wonderful time. At the end, Isaac even came over to whisper in my ear, "I'm so glad you came, mom." He is finally here and we can't get enough!

Last night the whole family was able to meet baby Judah (Or baby "Jullah" as Zoey calls him). The kids were beside themselves! At one point, I was holding Judah and Chris was standing over me with Elijah and the other kids were by my knees... Lance said "this will be what your family looks like in a couple months." I laughed on the outside, but I almost had a panic attack on the inside. Anyways, we are in love with our new family baby and know Lance and Jeni will be incredible parents. We love you guys!!!
